Lake Kissimmee

Lake Kissimmee has five islands. The biggest located in the south is Brahma Island. next in the north is Sturm Island, it is cut off from the mainland by a small waterway. the smaller islands Bird Island, Rabbit Island, Ox Island, are found in the eastern part of the lake. This lake Has healthy populations of Largemouth Bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill. large areas of native aquatic grasses provide anglers with lots of spots to flip baits or troll shiners for spawning bass during the winter and spring. a wide variety of baits both hard and soft can be fished in the open water and along edges of vegetation which are productive during summer and fall. also Fly fishermen have had good success fishing along the shoreline.
