Located in the town of Windermere, the Butler Chain of lakes provides great Bass fishing almost year round. The chain consists of eleven lakes. Lake Butler is the largest lake of the chain and has 1,665 acres of great bass fishing, Lake Tibet the second largest lake on the Butler Chain of lakes with 1,198 acres. It’s longer than wider and has bays on both east side and west side, Lake Down is the northern-most lake and Little Lake Down is accessed by a somewhat hidden canal on the west side of the Lake, Lake Sheen offers good Bass fishing with multiple docks and Grass beds, Lake Louise is a 50 acre lake and holds some great eel grass beds, Lake Chase is great for flipping and pitching in and around grass beds, docks and flooded timber, Pocket Lake has some very nice reed stands and lily pad areas and grass beds, Lake Blanche has a deep hole as you enter the lake from the canal which produced some great bass using jiggin spoons as well as dropshot and Carolina rigged baits, Wauseon Bay is a small body of water which acts as a conduit for the west side of Lake Down to Lake Butler and has a wide range bass fishing options, Lake Isleworth has excellent lily pad areas and some great flooded cypress tree areas. Frog baits and senko baits work very well in here, and Little Fish Lake is often fairly weedy but Five fish limits have been known to weigh above 20 pounds.
